What we collect
The calculators run entirely in your browser: the measurements you enter are sent neither to our server nor to Google. They stay in the page address, so you can copy the link or print the receipt. Statistics record the page you visit, without the measurements.
Contact form. If you write to us we collect your name, email address, subject and message, in order to reply. We send a short confirmation of receipt to the address you gave, without the text of your message. Legal basis: your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Technical data. Like any website, the server and Cloudflare record technical data about requests (IP address, date and time, requested page, browser type) to keep the site running and protect it from abuse. Legal basis: legitimate interest in security (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Spam protection. The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from automated programs. Turnstile examines technical data about your browser and connection only for this check. Legal basis: legitimate interest in protecting the form.
Preferences saved in your browser
In your browser's localStorage we save two technical preferences: the measurement system you chose in the English calculators and whether you closed the bar that suggests another language. They contain no personal data, are not sent to anyone, and you can delete them from your browser settings. Also, while you use the contact form, the browser keeps a draft of the fields in sessionStorage so it is not lost if sending fails: it stays in that tab only, is not sent to anyone and disappears when you close the tab or after a successful send. Details are on the Cookies page.
Who receives the data
- Cloudflare, Inc., which delivers and protects the site and provides Turnstile. Cloudflare participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; for transfers to the United States the European Commission's standard contractual clauses also apply.
- Google Ireland Limited, for Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4 and the consent message. For any transfers to Google LLC in the United States, Google participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
- The domain's hosting and email provider, which stores the site and the messages we receive.
We do not sell or pass on personal data to anyone else.
How long we keep it
Contact form messages stay in our mailbox for as long as needed to reply and handle any follow-up, and in any case no longer than 24 months. Technical data stays in the server and Cloudflare logs for the period these services provide, usually a few days or weeks.
Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest, by writing to [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, garanteprivacy.it).
Statistics and consent
To count visits and understand which calculators are useful we use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4, services of Google Ireland Limited. On your first visit, Google's standard consent message for the European regulations appears (based on the TCF standard). It asks for consent to statistics, but it also lists advertising purposes (personalised ads and content, measurement) and about 200 Google partners, because it is the standard message and includes them in view of possible AdSense ads. Today the site loads no advertising script, so those consents have no effect until we say otherwise on this page and on the Cookies page. If you accept statistics, Google Analytics uses cookies to recognise later visits; if you do not, it uses no cookies and Google receives only technical signals that are not used to recognise you. You can change your choice at any time with the "Privacy preferences" button at the bottom of every page. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Google keeps statistics data for 14 months at most.
Ads and affiliate links
Today shopnauta.com shows no advertising or affiliate links. Before turning them on we will update this policy and the cookies page and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent.
